Tibtean Democracy Day was commemorated on 2nd September 2023 at T.C.V. Chauntra to pay gratitude to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama for bestowing Tibetan people the gift of a democratic system of government. The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal.
The students from class 3 and above and the staff assembled at Lother Hall at 9: a.m. The program commenced at 9:10 a.m. with the singing of the Tibetan National Anthem and Mangtsosharshey. It was followed by the introductory speech of the day and read out the speech of Kashag. The school music teacher Gen Tenzin Shenphen La and his team performed some songs on the stage and entertained the audience and enliven the mood and the spirit of the day. The function ended with the word of thanks. Finally, Gorshey was performed by the staff and the students at the school basketball court.
