On August 11, 2023, TCV Chauntra School successfully organized a Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM) for students from Class I to X. The school administration had duly informed parents in advance to participate in this event. The PTM was a well-attended affair, with approximately 150-200 parents in attendance.
The objective of the PTM was to establish a common platform where teachers and parents could collaboratively assess the strengths and weaknesses of the students. The aim was to foster a strong partnership between teachers and parents in order to collectively support the holistic development of the children.
The event commenced at 9 am and was led by the school’s Principal. The Principal addressed the parents, emphasizing the importance of their involvement in their children’s education. The Principal also highlighted the significance of identifying each child’s strengths and areas needing improvement.
At noon, the class teachers and subject teachers took the opportunity to individually brief the parents of their child’s performance during the first term. They also discussed the child’s daily participation in both classroom and school activities. This approach served to increase parental awareness and engagement in their child’s educational journey, as well as the various opportunities provided by the school.
Following these discussions, parents were encouraged to visit their child’s homes and hostels to gain a deeper understanding of their living conditions and routines. This initiative aimed to enhance communication and interaction between parents and the house mothers , fostering a more comprehensive understanding of the students’ lives beyond the classroom.
The overall atmosphere of the PTM was interactive and constructive. Some parents took the opportunity to express their gratitude to the school’s management, teachers, and staff for their dedication and sincere efforts towards enhancing the overall progress and performance of the students.
