INTER HOUSE CULTURAL SONG AND DANCE

The Inter-House Cultural competition is a very important event for the students and school with the purpose of giving children a platform to develop all-round development especially to sharpen their art of dance and music skill and to pay tribute to our rich culture and tradition.The students wait for this particular event throughout the year to participate with enthusiasm and great energy. Like every other year, this year too was celebrated in a befitting manner.
To inculcate and nurture the singing and dancing talent of our students, an Inter House cultural competition was organized on 27th May in the grandeur arranged Lother hall. The competition was held in three categories: Group song, group dance, and Solo songs. The competition was judged by Mr .Tsering Palden (Tipa), Mr Tenzin Jorden (Tipa) and Mr Dawa Tashi (TCV Upper Dance and Music instructor) and attended by all the staff and students of tour school. Mr Palden dhundup (department of Home ) in Tibetan Exile Government graced the occasion as the chief guest. The event commenced at 5:00 pm.
With the presentation of group songs by all four houses. This was followed by cultural dances and finally soloist of each house, presented their solo songs. The students demonstrated abundant energy and patriotic fervor throughout their melodious performance. The young aspiring singers & dancers enthralled the judges & the audience with their well-choreographed performances. Each house outperformed the other.
The third position in the competition was bagged by Trisong House, Triral Houses came second and the winner was Trisong House. The judges were pleasantly surprised to note the passion & interest with which the students participated. They also said that success is the epitome of hard work
Overall, the event was a major success and concluded with a vote of thanks by the Mrs Datsam la ,who extended her heartfelt gratitude to the distinguished guest, the cultural committee for being the backbone of the entire program, house masters for their zealous effort – throughout the month and the students for putting their heart and soul to make this event a grand success.
