Tibet Day 

Tibet Day was organized on 28th September, 2022 aiming to inspire the students to take interest in learning Tibetan and to show everyone their ability at Tibetan. The day was organized by the Tibetan teachers and was supported by the students from Kindergarten to class 10. Various Tibetan activities were carried out from 7 a.m. until 9 o’clock.

The morning program started with the sangsol at 7 followed by  class 8 gorsheys (Tibetan circle dance) with the staff. Tibetan singing assembly was held on the basketball court at 8:45 a.m. Students from class 1 to 10 participated in that singing assembly and they sang a song titled ‘Gyalchog’ with a group of  musicians. They sang the songs with full enthusiasm and passion.

After the morning assembly class 9 and 10 students did Nyenngag Gyerton, (Poetry Recitation) Tibetan repartee and some of them performed some Tibetan songs. (Solo and Duet) Class 7 and 8 students did some stand up comedy shows.

The afternoon program consisted of Tibetan songs, dances, poetry recitation, rhymes and Tibetan game songs and they were presented by the students from Kindergarten to class 6.  A Tibetan drama titled ‘Drime Kundhen’ was performed on the stage by the students of class 6,7 and 8 in the evening at 6 p.m. at Loter Hall. On the whole Tibet Day was fun, exciting. interesting and much appreciated by the audience. The students and the teachers’ hard work really paid off!
