On May 21st, a special Tibetan Kangyur text reading program was organized to accumulate merit during the sacred month of Saka Dawa, which celebrates the birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana of Buddha Shakyamuni. This significant event involves the collective recitation of the Kangyur, the collection of Buddha’s teachings, revered in Tibetan Buddhism. The staff and students gathered to read the sacred texts during Saka Dawa, a period known for its heightened spiritual potency, would generate immense positive karma and blessings. The reading program not only fosters individual spiritual growth but also strengthened the overall spiritual atmosphere of the month-long celebration.
