Gandhi Jyanti is celebrated every year on 2nd October to commemorate the birth anniversary of Gandhiji – the father of nation. This year T.C.V. Chauntra celebrated 153rd birth anniversary of him by organizing a community service (Swatch Bharat or Clean India ) in the morning.
Cleanliness and community service were treasured by Gandhiji. “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” is Gandhiji’s mantra and to pay tribute to him, a cleanliness drive was initiated by the school Social Science department. Classes from 4 to 10 and the staff of the school joined the cleanliness drive to clean inside and the outside of the school. The team of students and staff could transform the dirty locality into a pleasurable one.
