2.           Planning, discussion and Preparation on Science Department relate school program

Science and Mathematics Department Minutes Meeting (3rd March, 2024)

 

1.     Mr.Tenzin Dawa was selected as the New department head of Science and Mathematics Department for the academic year 2024-2026 ( 2 years tenure) in the replacement of Ms. Lhakpa Dolkar.

3.     Science and Mathematics Department Goal was to get selected in 2024 JNNSMEE Exhibition organized by the Department of Education, CTA under the NCERT. For that the detailed SMART Goal planning has been made.

 

 

Science Department 1st TPD Session Report (21st March, 2024): 5th Period

• Science and Mathematics Department head Tenzin Dawa welcomes all and wishes for the excellent academic year ahead.

●          Reminder on the SMART Goal planning regarding JNNSMEE Exhibition preparation and planning. All the planning and actions must follow the details of smart goal 2024 submission.

• Each TGT Science Teacher should prepare two topics regarding the One topic must be on the waste management of garbage. Science department is planning to bring helpful methods to sort, dispose and to clean the TCV School Chauntra garbage house.

●          The 2nd Topic discussed was on the STEM Quiz program to be organized in May month by the Science Department. Following are the details dates

Science Department 2nd TPD Session Report (28th March, 2024): 5th Period

 

• To discuss the previous meeting agenda, such as JNNSMEE Exhibition 2024 Garbage separation methods. And to prepare the presentation on the research topic for the next TPD.

●          Actions to create a scientific environment in the school campus: for example,

1. Gen Phuntsok Namgyal la to distribute and bring awareness to students regarding the lab Their name, diagram and identification.
2. To browse and Refer to the Secmol School, Ladakh from Get ideas and inspiration to be able to implement in TCV School Chauntra.
3. To Research and Name tag with scientific knowledge on all the different kinds of trees in the TCV School Chauntra

 

 

Science Department TPD Session Report (24th June, 2024): 5th Period

• Science Day (26th August, 2024) Exhibition planning. From Class 8-10, the science project will be section wise. D section as Physics, S section as Chemistry and B section as Remaining Class 6 and 7 will be left with an open topic. Maximum of 15-20 best topics will be displayed during the Actual Science and Mathematics Day. The final project selection will be done on 24th August, 2024 (Saturday) in the school auditorium.

 

• Art with Science related submission and last date to submit the JNNSMEE exhibition on 14th July, Final selection will be done by the Art teacher.
• Term 2 Science Morning assembly presentation will begin from class 10 and followed by class 9 and so
• The actual TPD program as lesson observation will be done in the months of September and October,
• Science Lab Improvement Plan as Stock out unwanted materials, requirement of digital microscope, projector, bluetooth speaker, 3-D human anatomy, Human Skeletal and HDMI Cable

• Review of the Science and Mathematics Day, 2024

(Need more time for the exhibition/ Explanation in English/ FundRaising)

• Science Week Celebration
• Mathematics Department exhibition yet to submit will be put forward in 2025 JNNSMEE
• Science/Math Day to be held in March and
• Science Hour Magazine, an annual magazine published by the Science and Mathematics Department title, was changed to “ The Equation: where mathematics meets science” essay And Prize distribution separately for class 6, 7 and 8. (Class 9 and 10 together)..
