On 28th August 2024, School Nurse Sonam Sangmo delivered an insightful talk aimed at raising awareness about waterborne diseases. The session highlighted the prevalence of diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and hepatitis A, which are primarily transmitted through contaminated water. Nurse Sangmo emphasized the importance of clean drinking water, proper sanitation, and hygiene practices in preventing these illnesses. She also discussed the symptoms, treatment options, and preventive measures, including boiling water, using water purifiers, and promoting community health education. The talk was well-received, stressing the need for collective efforts in safeguarding public health.
